Opening Reception: March 10th, 4:30-6 pm

Hilo y Tierra: What We Share brings together the works of two artists whose practices are rooted in the exploration of culture, tradition, identity, and home. Though both artists share Latino roots, their work draws from their individual lived experiences within their own distinct cultures – one Colombian, one Chicano. Hilo y Tierra – which translates to “Thread and Earth” – serves to outline the common threads between two artists exploring their journey of bridging homeland with present terrain.
Curated by the Lory Student Center Art’s Program Student Leadership: Kaira Clarke, Katie Simmons, Miles Buchan, Gavin Devereaux, Maximus Vogt, Gabriella Ison, Asiye Uctuk, Clare Fesker.
